What Comes with PMG’s Grant Writing Discovery Package?
PMG’s Development and Grant Discovery Package focuses on a 30–60-day process that assesses a potential client’s organizational readiness through strategic planning, identifies development and grant opportunities, and determines a path forward. The engagement begins with a free discovery session to understand the client’s goals, fundraising capacity, membership support, technical requirements, and overall organizational context. The PMG Grants Department then conducts tailored research to identify aligned funding and development options and evaluates whether the client’s goals remain achievable.
At wrap-up, the client may either proceed with recommended grant or development activities—such as applying for funding or strengthening donor and fundraising systems—or pause and focus on internal capacity building for future opportunities.
The service costs $2,500 per month and includes 10–15 hours of support plus a comprehensive report of findings and opportunity recommendations.

Don’t take our word for it! Here is a client’s testimonial:
“We selected PMG to help us with running our relatively small society and provide support with additional staff for the management of large federal grants. They serve as the point of contact, interfacing with our Project Officers and partners, handle the financial duties, and the application process. Not only are PMG staff experts at what they do, they have become our colleagues and friends after many years of working together to serve families.”
FAQS
What does a grant writing service do?
Grant writing services provide support for all components of a grant application including performance narrative, workplans, staffing information, budget preparation, compliance documents, and more. We ensure all requirements and expectations are met and that programmatic information is consistent across all documentation. PMG goes beyond the writing phase and often manages funded programs through communications with the program leadership and funders, support of reporting requirements, implementation support, and technical assistance for grant deliverables.
How is PMG different from a freelance grant writer?
Our collaborative team brings more than scientific and medical writing expertise. We work with clients to support not only the writing and submission for funding applications but also facilitate strategic planning and implementation. Although we also provide services for smaller scale grants (such as an R01, state grants, and private funding opportunities), our specialty is complex, large-scale grants.
Do you only write grant applications, or do you also manage the grant after being awarded?
We do both! We have extensive experience supporting submissions and management for new and established programs.
What types of grants do you work on?
Our team has experience with federal, state, nonprofit, private, and pharmaceutical grant submissions. These include the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), individual state programs, the American Heart Association (AHA), and more.
How much do your services cost?
The costs vary depending on the level of support requested. Our Development and Grant Discovery Package starts at $2,500.
