Sarah Timm, CAE, CMP-HC
PRESIDENT, CEO
Sarah S. Timm, a Certified Association Executive and Certified Meeting Professional, brings extensive expertise in contract negotiation to her clients. Her career began at the Nashville Convention Center, where she managed over 250 events, then progressed to Director of Meetings at Traveltime Meetings, where she earned a reputation for planning exceptional events within or under budget and negotiating contracts free of “surprises.” Today, Sarah serves as the Executive Director of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology and as the President and CEO of Parthenon Management Group, overseeing all staff, meeting management, and daily operations for prestigious scientific societies.
Sarah is deeply passionate about educating others in the industry on contract negotiations and facilitation, a commitment reflected in her past service on the Tennessee Chapter of Meeting Professionals International Board of Directors. Her significant contributions were recognized when she was named the Tennessee Chapter of MPI Meeting Planner of the Year in 2006. She continues to shape the industry through her current roles on the Boards of Directors for the Tennessee Society of Association Executives and the Association Management Company Institute.

The Association Management department at PMG is led by our Vice President of Association Management, Dawn Keglor, and a team of five accomplished Directors of Association Management. With a wide breadth of collective experience, they provide a unique and unparalleled level of expertise in the industry.
Our Association Management team comprises over 25 specialists dedicated to providing exceptional service, knowledge, and experience to our clients. Many team members hold the prestigious Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the Center for Association Leadership, demonstrating their commitment to professional excellence.
This team prides itself on being a true partner to our clients, guiding each society in fulfilling its mission through expert management. They become an extension of your organization, handling all the administrative and strategic complexities so your volunteer leaders can focus on the important work that drives your field forward.


Meetings Management
Led by Julie Lewis, the Meetings Management team operates as a “Meetings Hive,” a hub of detail-oriented professionals who collaborate to produce conferences that are polished, memorable, and reflective of client missions. Our team includes experienced content managers who specialize in recruiting speakers, developing a memorable schedule, and handling the logistics of submissions. We thrive on building strong relationships and are personally invested in creating exceptional experiences for everyone involved.
They handle all logistical details, including site selection, contract negotiations, vendor management, and on-site staffing, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for attendees. Beyond logistics, the team focuses on content management, working closely with program committees and leveraging technology to facilitate abstract submissions, reviews, and attendee communication. They pride themselves on building strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors to deliver exceptional meeting experiences.
Association Marketing & Communications
Our marketing team is a highly skilled and results-oriented group with expertise in data-driven digital marketing, website strategy and design, and creative content development. We leverage our knowledge of SEO, UX/UI principles, and emerging technologies to deliver impactful campaigns that drive member engagement, increase brand visibility, and achieve measurable results for our clients.
Grant Management
Our Grant Management team provides comprehensive support to scientific organizations navigating the complexities of federal grant funding, particularly with agencies like HRSA. From pre-award strategic planning and proposal development to post-award financial management, compliance, and reporting, our team expertly handles all aspects of the grant lifecycle. We specialize in fostering collaborations, providing technical assistance, ensuring adherence to federal regulations, and meticulously tracking performance metrics.
DEvelopment
Our Development team approaches their work with both expertise and heart, dedicated to securing the resources necessary to support our client associations’ missions. They handle fundraising, including major gift cultivation to membership campaigns and partnership opportunities. Beyond the standard functions, our team is passionate about building meaningful relationships with donors and fostering a culture of philanthropy that aligns with each association’s unique values.
Talent & People
Our People and Talent team is dedicated to recruiting, training, and supporting our most valuable asset – our people. They leverage the Culture Index survey to optimize team dynamics and ensure harmonious placements within client societies and internal teams. Furthermore, they provide ongoing professional development opportunities and access to the latest industry training, empowering our staff to excel.
Finance & Accounting
Our Financial and Accounting team provides comprehensive financial management services to our client associations. This includes accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable management, and reconciliation of bank accounts. They also ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and work closely with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and tax filings.

Business Analytics & Information Technology
Our Business Analytics and Information Technology team provides essential support to our client associations and internal teams. They offer comprehensive data services, including membership database management, association management software support, and conference technology solutions. Furthermore, the team’s expertise fuels the development of proprietary software.
Publications
Our Publications team provides comprehensive editorial and logistical support for scholarly journals across various societies, ensuring the smooth and timely publication of high-quality research. With expertise in journal management, they handle all aspects of the publication process, from manuscript submission and peer review to copyediting, layout, and printing. Their work supports prominent publications, including those for the Research Society on Alcohol and the Society of Biological Psychiatry, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields.
