Establish Neil S. Hirsch TMS Center in Florida

October 2, 2023

The Foundation for the Advancement of Clinical TMS (FACTMS) is pleased to announce funding in the amount of $551,000 from the Neil S. Hirsch Foundation to establish the first Neil S. Hirsch TMS Center in Florida.

“We are delighted to receive this generous grant from the Neil S. Hirsch Foundation. It will allow FACTMS to fulfill our mission of expanding access to life changing TMS therapy, particularly to underserved areas and individuals. It is an honor to name the center on behalf of Neil, who was a true visionary and long-time advocate for psychiatric care. Through the center, Neil’s legacy will continue to positively impact those suffering from depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders,” said Dr. Randy Pardell, FACTMS President.

Steven N. Rappaport, Executive Trustee of the Neil S. Hirsch Foundation, stated “Mr. Hirsch established this Foundation to enhance the lives of children and adults in the United States. The Foundation aims to accomplish this by supporting and promoting organizations focused on medical, cultural, and educational issues in keeping with the Foundation’s mission. The Trustees of the Neil S. Hirsch Foundation are pleased to provide this transformational gift to the Foundation for the Advancement of Clinical TMS which they believe is consistent with the mission of the Foundation.”

FACTMS will partner with an existing charitable mental health clinic in Florida to establish the Neil S. Hirsch TMS Center. Funding from the grant will be used to cover start-up costs and all the tools and resources necessary to establish the TMS Center, which will provide accessible and effective treatment options for individuals in need. The Center’s anticipated opening date is March 2024.
