With the ever-increasing technology in today’s work climate, it can be tempting to sit at a desk in front of a computer all day every day. However, there are many great ways to incorporate exercise and movement into your work day, even if you don’t have time to go to the gym five days a week.
Here are some of our favorite tips for incorporating exercise and movement into your workday:
- Stretch! Taking a 1-2 minute stretch break every now and then will keep your muscles from getting tense and will help with blood flow.
- Swap out your desk chair for a stability ball. This will keep your muscles more engaged throughout the day.
- Walk! When you’re on the phone, walk around instead of sitting at your desk.
- Take the stairs. Sure, the elevator would be easier, but where’s the fun in that?
