Sarah S. Timm, certified as an Association Executive by the American Society of Association Executives and a Certified Meeting Professional by Meeting Professionals International (MPI), has acquired and demonstrated her contract negotiation skills with current clients. Beginning her career at the Nashville Convention Center, she managed more than 250 tradeshows and public events. She then moved to Traveltime Meetings as their Director of Meetings. In that position, she planned and implemented meetings for a variety of major corporations and associations. She developed a reputation as a meeting planner who could not only plan and manage a great meeting but could do it within or under budget. Clients learned that she would not only save them money but would also negotiate a contract free of unpleasant “surprises.” Sarah serves as the Executive Director of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology and as the President and CEO of Parthenon Management Group. As the CEO of PMG, she is responsible for the oversight of all staff, meeting management and the day-to-day operations for a number of the world’s most prestigious scientific societies.

Sarah served on the Tennessee Chapter of Meeting Professionals International Board of Directors from 2004 to 2007 and is passionate about educating others in the industry on contract negotiations and facilitation. She was named the Tennessee Chapter of MPI Meeting Planner of the Year in 2006 for her contributions to the Tennessee Meetings and Hospitality Industry. Sarah now serves on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Society of Association Executives and the Association Management Company Institute.
